'Kashgar' kilim. Northern Afghanistan. Early C20. This type of kilim
has recently been grouped with other Uzbek rugs under the general
name of 'Darya
Uzbek', but they have always been known as Kashgars
in the bazaars of Kabul. The shape of this example is atypical and
it has possibly lost some of its length. Some
small old repairs, but
in very good condition.
